This watch looks great and the extra features are easy to operate. The Indiglo, patented by Timex in 1992, illuminates the watch when needed by a simple push of the button. Additionally, you can set the Indiglo function to automatically be activated with any touch push buttons and remain lit for 3 seconds. The Timex turn and pull crown is not offered on all Timex chronographs. By manipulating the crown in a certain fashion, you can quickly activate the Indiglo, alarm and date. It is really an excellent chronograph watch in its range. Another outstanding feature, not often found in other chronograph watches, is alarm. You can set the alarm over minute or under the minute. Additionally, the combination of dial colour and leather strap gives overall a rich feel. The Tachymeter can be used to compute speed based on travel time. A standard tachymeter will only determine speeds greater than 60 miles per hour using this method; slower speeds can be measured by decreasing the unit of measurement (i.e. half-miles or kilometres). The function performed by a tachymeter is independent of unit of distance (i.e. is not specific to miles or kilometers). A tachymeter can be used to measure speed in nautical miles per hour, meters per hour, or to measure an industrial production process in units per hour. Overall it is a satisfying experience owning this model. Watch is solidly built and provide a very positive action.
